We spent a lesson in the lab trying to separate a salt solution to get back the salt and water with first experiences of Bunsen burners and our Liebig condenser.  It was a great opportunity to use all the new scientific language the boys have been learning. We also had some great creative ideas, thinking of ways they could do this if stranded on a desert island!
