As part of their exploration into different ecosystems, Year 5 visited Royal Botanical Gardens in Kew last week to gain an understanding of the climate, biodiversity, and importance of rainforests. Each group completed a workshop in the stunning Palm House and had the opportunity to visit the diverse range of biomes and species in the Prince of Wales Conservatory.
Following a well-received packed lunch, we walked around the extremely popular ‘Treetop Walkway’ – a thirty metre high platformed walkway through the canopy of Kew which takes in some stunning vistas of the CBD of London.
