A mandala is a symmetrical geometric shape that comes from the Buddhist and Hindu religion. They believe that the process of making a mandala is calming and relaxing. The boys learned how the pattern starts in the middle and radiates outwards. I was pleased with how the boys worked cooperatively with each other and used natural resources to create some really wonderful and beautiful patterns.
