Boarders visit Southbourne Beach

Previous

The borders visited a very sunny Southbourne beach last Sunday.

This is the quieter end of the promenade east of Bournemouth. It was a traditional affair with some brave souls taking to the waters, beach cricket, frisbee, kites and many large holes dug in the warm sand. There were many smiles and sandy shoes all-round. We also found out that Chenhan is semiaquatic, and that Alfie has a career in mining ahead!

The only slight issue was the difficulty in securing an ice cream at the beach. Fortunately, the catering team at Pilgrims' came to the rescue and produced some ice cream for dessert on our return.
