Boarders' excursion to Paultons Park
Our first weekend in boarding got off to a great start with a trip to Paultons Park, near Romsey on Sunday 10 September.
After the boys finished school on Saturday, everyone relaxed into the weekend. The school Tuck Shop doors were thrown open with freshly stocked delights after the summer, and the boys settled down to a choice of two films or the Rugby. It was lovely to see them so relaxed back in their home from home with us.
We started Sunday with a Full English Breakfast before boarding the double-decker taking us to Paultons Park. Maria, the Q Matron, was at the ready with travel-sickness tablets for those boys hoping to take on the Cyclonator; nothing was going to stop them! Sunshine followed the morning rain which meant that lunch was eaten alfresco style.
The boys had a fantastic day and the staff enjoyed their company. It was a delightful start to our weekend boarding programme. Apologies for the lack of photos, but we all embraced our time with the boys and being present with them seemed so much more important than taking pictures!
