"Cheyney Court" by Otto G (Year 8)

As G. R. Howard (1998) has written: "Cheyney Court, [built in the] 15th Century [...] is probably the most photographed domestic building in Winchester."

Otto poured many hours of painstakingly work into this very special painting earlier this year. As a familiar part of our daily lives at Pilgrims', we risk taking for granted the beauty of the buildings that surround and are contained within our precious campus. This painting compels us to look again at where we are and the visual treasure we have all around us.

Having been a Chorister for most of his time at Pilgrims', this is a very meaningful picture for Otto as he has spent many long hours rehearsing and preparing for his services in the Priory, which we can see on the left of this picture.

Well done, Otto! This is a wonderful memento of your time at Pilgrims'. Have a Show Up for your efforts.
