Year 3 Greek plays
This morning, both Year 3 classes entertained their parents and the rest of the Juniors with their re-telling of two famous Greek myths.
First up, 3R performed 'Perseus and the Gorgon', a terrifying tale about the eponymous hero who slays a horrifying monster who can turn people to stone with her very glare, and who has snakes for hair! Thankfully, the only scary thing about it was Bertie L's wig. He and the rest of 3R put in hilarious turns as nymphs, witches and a king with a very outdated attitude.
3E had the daunting task of enacting the story behind the great War of Troy. Thomas H, as the mischievous goddess Eris, presented a golden apple to the three most important goddesses (alluringly played by Zachary P, Angelos and Teddy C), and the ensuing fight about who was the most beautiful among them caused the outbreak of war between the Greeks and the Trojans. All boys learned their lines brilliantly, and it was lovely for them to have such an appreciative audience. We look forward to seeing what this talented bunch can do next year and beyond!
