Quiristers performed Haydn's Creation in the Cathedral

The Quiristers were full of smiles last week as they prepared to perform Haydn’s Creation in the Cathedral, with three professional soloists. The boys were also joined by many family members, friends and music teachers singing alongside them in the massed choirs and in the orchestra, and all conducted by Mr Ionascu.

The Quiristers looked splendid in their red cassocks amid the black dress code of the rest of the chapel choir and adults. But what really shone through from this performance was joy and optimism. Haydn’s Creation is fun to perform and a pleasure to listen to – everyone seemed to be enjoying it. It was also wonderful to be back performing a full scale concert in the Cathedral after a two-year gap.

Well done Qs!
