Sunday boarding excursion

Boscombe Beach, Bournemouth

Refreshed from a cosy Saturday evening movie night on the new screen in our refurbished Boarders' Common Room, we woke up to one of the catering team's wonderful Sunday full breakfasts. This certainly set us up for the day! The Quiristers were soon off to Eucharist at the College and shortly after, the Choristers headed over to Matins at the Cathedral, then staying over for the Eucharist which followed. At this point, early in the year and with plenty of new boarders, we took the remainder over to the Cathedral to support their friends in red and experience what they get up to, day in, day out. After attending the Eucharist (all nice and smart in white shirts and jackets!), we reconvened for a Sunday roast lunch.

Stomachs full again, we headed down to Boscombe to the beach. The weather treated us well and there was the usual full round of family beach activities: ice-creams (of course), beach cricket, catch and sand creations. The boys got a good stretch and plenty of fresh air, with some even braving the sea! It was great to spend time together and to wend our way back to school with plenty of happy faces.
