Year 3 Forest School
This week, the boys learned about the Japanese technique - Hapa-zome, the art of bashing flowers and leaves into fabric.
The boys carefully chose a selection of suitable leaves. The leaves were then placed between a piece of cloth and, using a mallet, the boys gently tapped the leaves to extract all the juices. This impresses an image of the leaf on the fabric. The boys had fun trying out different leaves and creating different patterns.
