This week Year 3 heard all about the legend of ‘The Green Man’.

The boys learned about the legend of The Green Man; a legendary being, primarily interpreted as a symbol of rebirth and represents the cycle of new growth that occurs every spring. The Green Man is most commonly depicted in a stone. Using a small ball of clay and natural resources, the boys had great fun creating their own image of The Green Man with some very imaginative results.

The next time you go inside the Cathedral, can you spot these three Green Men? See how many more you can find, carved in wood or stone!
