Year 3 Scientists get messy!

This week, Pilgrims’ Year 3 Scientists were given an insight into the human digestive system.
They had at their disposal a pestle and mortar, a plastic bag, a pair of tights, some water, banana, bread, and coffee grains.
They had great fun crunching up the banana and bread, sloshing it all around in a plastic bag, and finally squeezing it dry through a pair of tights until what was left popped out at the bottom (!) of the tights where a hole had been cut where the big toe would be! There was much hilarity at this point, as you can imagine!
