We welcomed 45 boys into our boarding houses this week to experience for themselves the world that is Boarding at Pilgrims’. The enthusiasm and energy were palpable with ‘free time’ in the evenings consisting of scooter rallies, penalty shoot-outs and an inordinate amount of table tennis being played. Undoubtedly the highlight of the boys' stay, closely followed by the array of options for supper, was spending time with their roommates in their dorms and their new friends in the house. London and Rock at Q School and Surfers, Tin-Tin and Dorm 8 at Main School became boarding sanctuaries where laughter could be heard (later followed by snores!) and bedtime stories were eagerly followed. One Year 3 boy asked me this morning as we packed up his bag if he could move in tomorrow and stay forever!
