Neurodiversity Celebration Week

A recent lunchtime discussion about my role in the school sparked an idea among a group of boys at my lunch table.

As we talked about the role I play in supporting boys in the school, the conversation shifted towards the idea of celebrating the unique strengths and differences of those who think differently. Inspired by this, the chat quickly became a plan; the boys presented a PowerPoint to the Juniors and then the Pre-Prep.

They discussed celebrating unique talents, the science behind how brains differ, and how diversity in thinking is a good thing. They asked the audience to talk about their own strengths and areas they would like to improve, from football to spelling, Lego to maths; they all learnt that everyone is good at something but not everyone is good at everything.

Thank you to Tommy P, Alfred B, Patrick B, Freddy D and Teddy H for delivering such an engaging and lively presentation. They ended by sharing slides about famous neurodivergent people; can you recognise any of them?
