Year 5 Running for Lunches Campaign
A small group of boys in Year 5 approached Dr Essex a few weeks ago expressing their concern for those who are unable to have a full plate of food for lunch each day. The boys wished to raise awareness of others less fortunate than themselves.
Posters were made, quotations written, marketing proposals thought through and the 'Running for Lunches' campaign was launched. The boys run laps of their play area each day to raise awareness and have arranged for a collection to be gathered of non-perishable food items which they will take to the Winchester Basics Bank.
