Head of History Visits OPs at Eton College

35 Old Pilgrims' currently attend Eton - Head of History, Joy Bailey caught up with them last month.

Mrs Bailey, as she is fondly known to the boys, spent a delightful Sunday at Eton with 25 of the 35 Old Pilgrims' currently studying there. Each of the boys graciously accepted the invitation to lunch, and in return, received Pilgrims' postcards encouraging them to stay in touch. Pilgrims' stress balls were passed around and tossed playfully, serving as a lighthearted reminder that their prep school days were not so long ago.

The boys eagerly enquired about life at Pilgrims', asking about current staff, what’s changed, and reminiscing about their favourite teachers. It was clear from the conversation that many are looking forward to returning for a summer reunion, further strengthening the bond between their past and present.

Our Alumni play a vital role in the continued success and spirit of Pilgrims'. We value the lasting connections we've built over the years, and we would love our Alumni to keep in touch. By signing up here or emailing alumni@pilgrims-school.co.uk you can stay updated with news, events, and opportunities to reconnect.

A new tradition has begun – we now invite the most recent year group to leave Pilgrims' for a summer lunch by the river. We hope to build on this by extending the invitation to other Alumni groups, offering a chance to return and experience Pilgrims' at its best, while celebrating the enduring bond that unites us all!
