We have teamed up with Winchester College to offer our pupils the opportunity to take part in its CATALYST Foundations programme.

CATALYST is inspired by ‘Div’, a course that is the cornerstone of a Winchester education. Div goes beyond the confines of traditional curriculum and is interdisciplinary and discursive.

Over Half Term, the College is running its CATALYST Foundations programme which is aimed at pupils in Years 6-8 wishing to stretch their learning and meet like-minded peers from around the world. The online course explores the role of technology and innovation in the modern world and challenges pupils to consider whether tech and AI is a force for good or evil. A pressing issue of our time!

According to Richard Doring, Head of Admissions at CATALYST Winchester College: “CATALYST Foundations is designed to develop key skills in critical thinking, debate, and communication. It is suited to all pupils whether they are considering Winchester as a senior school or not, those who are aiming for scholarship, or simply those motivated to pursue academic enrichment under the guidance and coaching of Winchester teachers.”

The next programme will take place over the Autumn half-term, October 23 - 27. The course is selective and costs £1750. Parents can use the referral code ‘DigitalPilgrims’ to get 10% off by submitting the short application form via the CATALYST website, here.
