Promenade Concert raises over £800 for Children in Need
Our Autumn Promenade Concert this year was the perfect opportunity for boys to perform all around the school and raise over £800 for Children in Need.
This was to raise money for the charity 'BBC Children in Need'. At 1100, the boys split off into their ensembles. Orchestra was in the Pilgrims' Hall performing Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, while Big Band were in the Octagon performing 'Dynamite' by Taio Cruz and 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams; aided by the likes of Mr Burton on the trombone and Mr Rainer on the trumpet. During this time, some of the younger boys were busking, filling the Yard and Front Hall with some great sounds. By the end of the morning, £808.98 had been raised for Children in Need!
