Autumn Promenade Concert raises money for BBC Children in Need appeal
The Autumn Promenade Concert took place last Friday and it started at 1000 with individual students busking around the school.
This was to raise money for the charity 'BBC Children in Need'. At 1100, the boys split off into their ensembles. Orchestra was in the Pilgrims' Hall performing Schubert's Unfinished Symphony, while Big Band were in the Octagon performing 'Dynamite' by Taio Cruz and 'Happy' by Pharrell Williams; aided by the likes of Mr Burton on the trombone and Mr Rainer on the trumpet. During this time, some of the younger boys were busking, filling the Yard and Front Hall with some great sounds. By the end of the morning, £808.98 had been raised for Children in Need!
