The boys have all developed a secure understanding of the addition and equal symbols and know that number sentences can be written in different orders, e.g. 7=3+4. This shows that all of the boys have an excellent understanding of the meanings and mechanics behind the symbols. All boys have showcased their knowledge by creating posters that model their understanding, using representations such as the part whole model and through writing their own word problem linked to their calculation. This varied fluency and confidence is wonderful to see in some of our youngest Pilgrims!
