Tenacity on the pitch
I hope you had a fantastic and, dare I say it, active half-term. The wet weather has been doggedly persistent of late but thankfully it hasn’t been affecting us much. I have just recovered from a World Cup final defeat - but what a defining performance in the semi-final against the mighty All Blacks.
Yesterday’s matches with Twyford yielded a great set of competitive performances from our teams. All of our Years 4 and 5 were in action. I’d like to highlight the improvement we’ve seen, not just in the scorelines, but in their tenacity on the pitch, topped off with an Under 9A (Magpies) win!
The senior sides also enjoyed hard-fought matches with three wins, three draws and two losses across the eight fixtures. Again, the seniors have been setting a great example by their determined and resilient performances, even in the close defeats.
We look forward to the upcoming matches against Papplewick on Saturday, followed by Farleigh and the PGS tournament next week.
