Book Week 2023

Monday 28 February to Saturday 4 March

A date for your diary: Book Week, returns!

We look forward to celebrating books, writing and reading during the week beginning Monday 28 February which also includes World Book Day on Thursday 2 March. Further details will be circulated in the coming weeks, but an author’s visit and a dressing up day (as one’s favourite book character) will mark the week amongst other events.

Of course, we do not need to wait for special events to celebrate reading. The Library has welcomed our pupils back to school this term with a vast variety of brand-new books; many of which have just been published. We hope boys will enjoy them and that they will look after them too!

A couple of years ago we took the decision to stop covering library book with plastic films; our contribution to lowering our impact on the planet. This means, however, that our library books must be cared for by keeping them safely in the classroom and at home. Equally, signing books out of the library correctly and returning them promptly is an important routine that ensures all our books are accounted for and can be used by all boys in the school.
