Guests were welcomed into a twinkling Pilgrims’ Hall by a veritable jazz ensemble of boys crowded round a fairy light-lit piano and treated to delicious canapés, fabulous Hattingley fizz and Flower Pots ale.

The jolly roster of barmen had only half an eye on the USA V England footie, and at half-time the older Choristers and Quiristers entertained with a sublime performance of carols. Although we were still in November, the dewy-eyed faces of the parents told you that Christmas had truly begun.

Thank you to the PPA and all the other helpers for creating such a fun and festive party. And apologies for Father Christmas because we have eaten all the mince pies.
