PPA Fireworks Night

" What an amazing night, bringing all of us, Pilgrims', together in the historic grounds of Wolsesley Castle. Thank you all for making it so special."

Pilgrims’ is a tardis of a school, coping easily with over 600 firework revellers keen to make the most of a mini fête in the yard and grid. Beat-the-goalie on the new Astro surface was hugely popular, and the crowd loved the doughnuts on strings, hot chocolate, tombola and face painting. Thank you to Pam Talbot and her team for the delicious hot dogs, chips and sweet treats. The pre-fireworks hour and 20 minutes whizzed by, and the school community then walked under starry skies to Wolvesey. Surely one of the UK’s most dramatic backdrops to any kind of display, but the fireworks managed to outshine (bang and whoosh) nearly 1,000 years of history.

Well done to Anna Kennedy, Deborah Simpson and the rest of the PPA and class reps for making the fun so organised. The Fireworks Night is now a firm fixture in the Pilgrims' calendar, and we hope you all enjoyed it too.
