Christmas Card Competition
Each year Winchester & Chandler's Ford MP Steve Brine holds a special competition amongst primary school age children across his constituency to design his official Christmas card. Submit entries to Mr Walters by 31 October.
Prizes
The best entry from each year group across the constituency will get a prize, and from them, one winner will be selected as the Overall Winner to use as Steve Brine’s Christmas card for this year. The card will be sent to a huge variety of local charities, organisations, businesses, and community leaders across Winchester & Chandler’s Ford.
Competition Rules
- The competition is open to all primary school children up to 11 years of age.
- Only individual entries can be accepted. Paintings should be original pieces of work by the pupil and produced on A4 paper – either portrait or landscape. Please do not use tracing.
- For reproduction purposes, please avoid using lead or coloured pencils, glitter or anything stuck to the paper. Paint only please.
- The following details should be printed clearly on the back of the painting: Name, age, year group, name of school
- Children’s entries must be submitted with prior permission from the parents.
- A shortlist of paintings will be on display in the Children’s Library at the Winchester Discovery Centre up until Christmas and judging for year group winners and first prize will take place in early November. The overall winning painting will be used on the front cover of Steve Brine MP’s Christmas card. The winner will be announced in the press in late November and a full list of prize winners will be published on the MP’s website.
- Finalists’ paintings can be returned by prior arrangement.
ALL ENTRIES MUST BE GIVEN TO MR WALTERS, IN THE ART STUDIO, ON MONDAY 31 OCTOBER, BEFORE ASSEMBLY.
