Celebrating Harvest
The school’s Harvest service on Thursday, in Winchester Cathedral, was delightful.
Arriving at the Cathedral to Mr Burton’s wonderful organ playing was awe-inspiring. Mr Duncan set a reverent tone with his welcome and responses. The hymns were joyful. Chamber Choir’s anthem was sung amazingly well, led by Mr du Plessis’ tremendous conducting. Seb N, Hector W and Cyrus T were confident and crisp in their readings. Canon Tess delivered a wonderful all-age sermon that gave us much food for thought about why we should care for the planet and how we can do so on a daily basis. Thank you to everyone who helped and/or donated, especially to the PPA for organising the food collection to the Winchester Basics' Bank, the chosen charity.
