Year 6 residential trip to Normandy, France
The recent visit to the castles and beaches of Normandy was an incredible success, leaving a lasting impression on all of us.
Since our return, I've been amazed by the thought-provoking questions Year 6 has been asking. Questions like 'Who were the Axis powers?' and 'How did the soldiers eat after they reached Normandy?', demonstrating the inquisitive minds of our students, eager to delve into history.
More than just a history lesson, these residential trips help our students navigate friendships, emotions, and expectations, and I'm proud to say that the progress and behaviour of the boys as a year group were commendable.
Throughout the trip, Year 6 parents received daily updates and photos of our activities, and I would like to share some of our experiences with the wider school community. Please take a moment to view them below.
Lastly, I want to express my gratitude to Mrs. Slater, Mr. Duncan, Mrs. Brill, Mrs. Beaumont, and Mrs. Palmer for their meticulous planning and support. This trip wouldn't have been possible without them all.
