Year 3 Forest School
Creating Journey Sticks.
Aboriginal people of Australia and Native Americans have used journey sticks to tell stories about where they had been and what they had seen.
The boys in Year 3 collected natural items as they went along their journey and attached them to the stick in chronological order just like people did in ancient times. They used the decorated sticks as a map and to tell stories about where they had been. So we had created our own journey sticks to reflect our journey to the arboretum!
