Pilgrims’ Got Talent has just concluded; what fun!

A variety of acts entertained the school for half an hour in the Pilgrims’ Hall: Theo W and Harry C made us laugh with their comedy act; Teddy W and Yan Z each showed impressive skills with their Rubik’s cubes; Bertie L entertained with his yo-yo skills; Wilfred S and Louis B amused with their very different, but equally entertaining acts; finally, young Leo HP wowed with his dance skills.

The judges had a hard time and, with such a wide variety of skills on offer, took some minutes to deliberate.  Equal second place was given to Teddy W for solving not one but two Rubik’s cubes (and under time too, in one minute twenty-three seconds!), and Leo HP for his incredible dancing skills (so impressive that a Year 2 would get up in front of the whole school!).

First place went to Yan Z’s incredible show of mental powers and resilience, with his blindfolded solving of a Rubik’s cube.  The mental agility needed to memorise a Rubik’s cube and solve it blindfolded is impressive enough, but when he failed to complete it first time (as he did in the audition, it’s worth pointing out), many might have given up; not Yan, he had another go and, much to the delight of the crowd, managed to solve the puzzle.  Impressive.

A great afternoon’s entertainment!
