Mental Health Awareness Week (15-21 May)
This week is Mental Health Awareness week, and we shall present our final Wellbeing Matters (Live) event at school on Saturday morning (20 May), which will focus specifically on this very important topic.
Mental Health and Wellbeing has received a lot of attention in recent years, and post pandemic particularly, as the effects of the various lockdowns have become apparent. Young people were hit particularly hard, not only on the academic front, but emotionally and socially as well.
Visit the Mental Health Foundation website, which explains this year’s focus, namely anxiety. It is a very common feeling to have, and more than half of adults have reported saying that they experience feelings of anxiety at least some of the time. The website offers more information about this important topic, and suggests where support may be accessed.
