Two opportunites to attend BBC Choral Evensong broadcasts next week!
Quiristers: The BBC are recording Choral Evensong next Tuesday 27 February in Winchester College Chapel for broadcast in mid-March. You are all most welcome to attend and it would be lovely to have a large congregation (both to support Chapel Choir and to bolster the congregational hymn singing/spoken parts of the service).
Please note the earlier start time from usual - 4pm - and you are asked to be seated by 3.30pm.

Set Quiz latest: Wednesday saw the tightest match so far this year. Normans stormed out to a huge half time lead of 110 to 40; however, a tremendous second half from Wrens saw a strong fightback, and led to some nail biting from the Normans as the scores were totalled by our scorer/timekeeper (thank you to Yan Zhang!). With the scores close enough to need a re-count, eventually the Normans let out a sigh of relief as it was announced that they had won by five points (145-140)! ASD

Headmaster’s notice:
Music Awards
As you will see in the piece below, we are now in a position to know and to celebrate that this is an incredible, record-breaking year, in which an astonishing fifteen Year 8s have gained music awards to their senior schools! In keeping with the values and position I have set out elsewhere, it must be clear that we are so very proud of all boys who prepared so hard and played so well in their auditions, regardless of outcome. By controlling what they could control and ensuring each did their individual best against the variable of the competition on the day, they are all worthy of celebration. What an absolute credit they are. Bravissimo, boys!
